The Marabutto is a former powder magazine that is still home to three old cannons: “Butafoegu”, “Tiralogni” and “Cagastrasse”.

In practice it is a lovely terrace overlooking the sea, the marina and the little church of Sant’Ampelio.
The place is dear to the people of Bordighera because many of them spent their youth here, and it is the best vantage point for the fireworks held every year on 14 May.

Where it is

The Marabutto is in Bordighera (Riviera di Ponente, Riviera dei Fiori).
