Festival, village and rain
In July and August there’s the Chamber Music Festival, with concerts in Piazza dei Corallini, the church square overlooking the sea: check the evening forecast. The village is all steps and uphill alleys: in summer it’s best visited early in the morning or at sunset. On rainy days you can visit the Ethnographic Museum of the Ligurian Ponente, in the castle at the top of the village.

For the sea, go between June and September; for the village and walks, spring and autumn are ideal.
