Andora's climate month by month

Andora is on the Riviera di Ponente, in a bay between Capo Mele, towards Laigueglia, and Capo Mimosa, towards Cervo, about twenty kilometres from Imperia: the table uses the averages for that city. It has mild winters, hot summers and little rain, especially in summer.

Sea, cycle path and rain

The bay has fine sandy beaches with a gently sloping seabed and plenty of free stretches: the beaches of Andora are described one by one in the dedicated guide. Whale and dolphin watching trips leave from the harbour: they depend on the sea, so check the same morning. Andora is the end point of the Riviera dei Fiori cycle path, more than 45 km along the old seaside railway line as far as Ospedaletti: in summer it’s best to ride in the morning. On rainy days you can visit Palazzo Tagliaferro, with the Natural History Museum and exhibition rooms, or the exhibition “Figure di donna” in the Castello dei Clavesana at Borgo Castello, until 10 February 2027.

In Liguria, alerts for rain and thunderstorms are issued by ARPAL, with three levels: yellow, orange and red alerts. Check the level on the official Allerta Liguria website (in Italian) before setting off on hikes or boat trips.

When to go to Andora

For the sea, go from June to September; July and August are the busiest months. For cycling, the trails towards Colla Micheri and Capo Mele and the walks between Borgo Castello and Rollo, choose spring or autumn. On 3 May the town celebrates its patron saints, Giacomo and Filippo; at Christmas a living nativity scene is traditionally held in the hamlet of Duomo.
