Campo Ligure is a village in the hinterland of Genoa, in the Valle Stura, at 342 m. There are no official averages for the village: the table starts from the Genoa figures, about 25 km away as the crow flies, and takes off about 2 °C for the altitude (about 0.6 °C per 100 m), so it is an estimate, and there is no sea-temperature column. The rainfall is also that of Genoa: in the valley it can differ, and on cold days the minimum temperatures are usually lower than on the coast. If you are interested in the sea, see the Genoa weather page, the one for Arenzano or the beach at Varazze.

Monthly averages for Genova (air temperatures 1991–2020). Source: climieviaggi.it. For Campo Ligure, at about 342 m above sea level, the temperatures are an estimate: they are the Genova figures, on the coast about 25 km away, with 0.6 °C less for every 100 m of altitude; the rainy days are those of Genova. Treat them as a guide: in the valleys nights are usually cooler and the gap between day and night wider.
The Stura stream runs at the foot of the village, below the San Michele bridge. The village has a history of floods (sources recall those of 1935 and October 2019): in case of an alert keep away from the riverbed and underpasses. The Turchino state road (SS 456) has had landslides and closures after heavy rain in the past, so in autumn check before you set out. On the Beigua trails after rain the ground turns muddy and slippery: you need a good sole, and it is better to wait a few dry days. We have no local averages for snowfall: on cold days check the forecast and the state of the road.
On rainy days you still have the Filigree Museum and the castle with the TraMe museum, which are indoors: they open on Friday afternoon and at the weekend (autumn hours: Friday 16:00–18:00, Saturday and Sunday 10:30–12:00 and 16:00–18:00; check the museum’s website (in Italian)). Churches and oratories are seen from outside; opening hours are not published. The workshops along the lanes work in view of the public or by appointment. If the weather turns and you want to change plans, Genoa is about 40 minutes away by road or train.
The best months are April to June and September–October, with mild days and the museum and castle open. In summer the valley is cooler than the coast, but 22 July is the feast of the patron saint, Santa Maria Maddalena, and in August there is the Sagra del Cinghiale (7 to 10 August in 2026). In December the mechanical nativity scene opens; its 2026 calendar is not confirmed. Warnings for rain and storms are issued by ARPAL: check them on the official Allerta Liguria website (in Italian) before you set out.
