Lingueglietta is a stone village on the ridge above the San Lorenzo valley, at about 320 m, a hamlet of Cipressa inland from Imperia. There are no official averages for Lingueglietta: the table starts from the Imperia figures, about 9 km away as the crow flies, and takes off about 2 °C for the altitude, so it is an estimate, and there is no sea-temperature column. The rainy days are those of Imperia. Evenings are cooler than on the coast. For the weather at the seaside, see the Imperia weather page or the beach at San Lorenzo al Mare.

Monthly averages for Imperia (air temperatures 1991–2020). Source: climieviaggi.it. For Lingueglietta, at about 320 m above sea level, the temperatures are an estimate: they are the Imperia figures, on the coast about 9 km away, with 0.6 °C less for every 100 m of altitude; the rainy days are those of Imperia. Treat them as a guide: in the valleys nights are usually cooler and the gap between day and night wider.
The village sits on a ridge, with views over the valley and the sea: on clear days the little square is the place to stop, but in rain or fog the view disappears. The lanes are on different levels, with ramps and steps, and wet stone is slippery: wear shoes with a good sole. Trails to San Lorenzo al Mare and Cipressa also start here: after rain the steep mule track down to San Lorenzo can be slippery, and the return is all uphill, so it is better to wait for the ground to dry.
When it rains, the fortress-church of San Pietro is one to look at from outside, since there are no confirmed opening hours: to go in you have to ask the Cipressa town hall (+39 0183 98005). The parish church and the oratories are also visited by appointment through the town hall, and we cannot promise access to the parish church: check before you climb up. The sculpture park “Tra i Mondi” is visited by appointment (+39 0183 91242): call first, especially if the weather is uncertain. There are no shops in the village, so bring the essentials and, if the weather turns, choose a booked lunch: places to eat are few.
The best months are April to June and September–October, with clear air and trails you can walk; in the middle of the day in summer it is better to avoid the heat. In April the village takes part in “8 Borghi in Festa” in the San Lorenzo valley (in 2026 it ran from 4 to 6 April); May brings the feast of San Clemente, June the lavender festival “Il Paese in Blu”, 16 August San Rocco and 8 September the Nativity of Mary: dates of future editions are not confirmed, so ask the town hall. Warnings for rain and storms are issued by ARPAL: check them on the official Allerta Liguria website (in Italian) before setting out or heading for a trail.
