From 16 to 18 October 2026 Finale Ligure hosts the UCI Mountain Bike Enduro and E-Enduro World Championships: three days in which the world’s best riders race for six rainbow jerseys on the trails between the sea and the plateau above the town. The base is Finale Marina, with the village on the seafront and the ceremonies in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II; the racing itself happens inland, from Calice Ligure to Vezzi Portio.

It is only the third edition of the enduro World Championships, after Val di Fassa in 2024 and Valais, Switzerland, in 2025. For Finale it caps a long story: the first Finalenduro was held here in 2008, and the area has hosted international races ever since, World Cup rounds included.

Day-by-day schedule

Thursday 15 October

Teams arrive and riders confirm their entries. In the evening there is an opening night with rider Harald Philipp at the Cinema Teatro Moretti in Pietra Ligure.

Friday 16 October

Official practice on the stages runs from 8am to 5.30pm. From 7pm to 9.30pm the opening ceremony and the Team Parade of the nations fill Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II: the best chance to see the riders up close.

Saturday 17 October

E-Enduro day, the race on pedal-assist bikes: the World Championship runs from 8am to 3pm, the Open race for amateurs from 9.30am. Prize giving at 5pm. In the centre of Finale Marina “Taste the World” serves food and drink from the competing countries.

Sunday 18 October

The main event, the Enduro, runs from 8am to 6pm, with prize giving at 6.30pm and a closing party in the square from 9pm to midnight.

The Expo Village on Lungomare Migliorini and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II is open Friday and Saturday 9am–7pm and Sunday 9am–6pm. Times and updates are on the official event website.

The race courses

The Enduro is 76 km long, with six timed special stages and over 2,100 metres of climbing on the pedal. It climbs above Calice Ligure and Orco Feglino, crosses Colla San Giacomo, enters Mallare with the new Little Dog stage, follows the ridge towards Rocca dei Corvi and Vezzi Portio and finishes on the classic DH Men trail.

The E-Enduro covers 63 km, again with six stages: it starts in the Maremola valley, touches Orco Feglino, Calice Ligure and Noli, and runs through the Toboga and the Prati di Ferrin, home of the 24H of Finale.

Where to watch

The organisers have set up three spectator areas along the courses:

  • Colla San Giacomo: the first feed zone of the Enduro, on the plateau above Finale.
  • Acqua d’Alto picnic area: in the municipality of Vado Ligure, with a DJ set and food trucks.
  • Prati di Ferrin: by the Ferrin farm stay, the historic venue of the 24H of Finale.

Acqua d’Alto and Ferrin are the easiest to reach. Check the official spectator map before you set off, and remember that the course sections are reserved for riders during practice and racing: stay in the marked areas. If you would rather not head into the hills, you can follow finishes, prize givings and paddock life on the seafront in Finale Marina.

Racing as an amateur: Enduro Open and E-Enduro Open

For the first time, a World Championship weekend includes two races open to everyone on the same trails as the pros: the E-Enduro Open on Saturday (200 places) and the Enduro Open on Sunday (150 places), on slightly shorter courses. Entries are handled on the ENDU platform via the event website.

Getting there and parking

The organisers recommend the train: Finale Ligure station is about a five-minute walk from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, on the Genoa–Ventimiglia line. By car, leave the A10 motorway at Finale Ligure. Piazzale Vuillermin and Park Piaggio cannot be used during the event; the free car parks listed are in via Dante, via Brunenghi and Salita del Grillo. The nearest airports are Genoa (about 70 km) and Nice (about 130 km).

Finale beyond the races

If you stay a few days, the medieval walled village of Finalborgo is ten minutes from the seafront, with its castles on the hills above. Heading east the coast continues to Varigotti and Noli. For a few hours by the sea, see our guide to the beaches of Finale Ligure.

Where it takes place

The event takes place in Finale Ligure (Riviera di Ponente, Riviera delle Palme).
