When to go to Lerici

For the sea, the best months are June to September: the beaches of Lerici are described one by one in the dedicated guide, and Lerici has a Blue Flag again in 2026. To walk along the seafront between the two castles, go up to San Giorgio Castle and visit Tellaro without the heat, choose April, May, September or October. In December Tellaro holds its Underwater Nativity (Natale Subacqueo).

Boats leave Lerici harbour for Portovenere and the Cinque Terre: when the sea is rough, sailings may be suspended, so check at the pier on the morning itself.
