Sea and storm surges

Bogliasco’s coast is made of rocks and small beaches: the beaches of Bogliasco are described one by one in the dedicated guide. With the libeccio (south-west wind) and storm surges the sea hits the coast hard: on those days swimming is not advised and it’s best to keep away from the rocks. Bogliasco has no boat stop: for Portofino and San Fruttuoso, boats leave from Nervi or Camogli.

When to go to Bogliasco

For the sea, go between June and September. In July there are the Festa del Carmine and the Sagra dei pansoti (a festival of the local stuffed pasta), and in September the Sagra della polenta.
