These are the figures for La Spezia, about 31 km away as the crow flies: treat them as a guide.<\/p>\n<h2>Roads, tunnels and bad weather<\/h2>\n<p>The tunnels of the former railway between Riva Trigoso and Moneglia have been closed since 27 March 2025 due to collapses and rockfalls, and those towards Deiva Marina since 10 April 2025: reopening is not expected before 2027. To get there, take the train or the strada del Facci\u00f9 (Facci\u00f9 road), and check the Pro Loco&#8217;s notices before setting off. In heavy rain and during alerts, there may be landslides on the inland roads: check the forecast. In Liguria, alerts for rain and thunderstorms are issued by ARPAL, with three levels: yellow, orange and red alerts. Check the level on the <a href=\"https:\/\/allertaliguria.regione.liguria.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official Allerta Liguria website (in Italian)<\/a> before setting off on hikes or boat trips.<\/p>\n<h2>When to go to Moneglia<\/h2>\n<p>For the sea, go from June to September: the <a href=\"https:\/\/italian-riviera.com\/en\/riviera-di-levante\/moneglia\/beaches\/\">beaches of Moneglia<\/a> are described one by one in the dedicated guide.
